The white tigers are one of the most exotic and appealing animals due to its rarity. And the good news is that the white tiger safari has been opened in Rewa of Vindhya region in India, which was once home to this rare breed of the big cats. I am sanguine that the powerful roar of white tigers will attract thousands ofwild life enthusiastswho would like to capture this amazing animal by their lenses.The White Tiger Safari in India, touted as the first of its kind in the world, has a white tigress named Princess Vindhya who was brought to the place on November 9, 2015 from Bhilai Steel Plant premises.

Madhya Pradesh in general and Vindhya region in particular has special attachment withwhite tigers. The first white tiger of the world Mohan was sighted in Vindhya region only by the then Rewa Maharaja Martand Singh in jungles of Sidhi in the year 1951 during a hunt. The cub was named Mohan and was then 9-month-old. He was kept in an enclosure in Govindgarh fort later.

White tigers were in Govindgarh, Rewa from 1951 to 1976. Post 1976, there was no white tiger. After unsuccessful attempts of breeding in the private enclosure for several years it was on October 30, 1958 when 4 cubs were born to Mohan and Radha. Later, 30 more cubs were born during the lifetime of Mohan out of which 21 were white colored. It is said today all the white tigers in the world have pedigree to Mohan. India has always been treated as a bouquet ofgreat tourist destinationsacross the globe.

1. 1.Spread over an area of 25 hectares, White Tiger Safari is a part of 1,000 hectare forest area in Mukundpur in Satna district. The safari has cost of INR 50 crores.

2.2.Currently, the White Tiger Safari houses three white tigers, including one male named Raghu and two females, Vindhya and Radha.

3.3.White Tiger Safari opens from 11:00 am till 4.30 pm in the evening.

4.4.Additionally nine tigers will be brought here for safari in coming months.

5.5.White Tiger Safari is named after Maharaja Martand Sigh of Rewa.

6.6.The forest area has three white tigers, two Bengal tigers of more usual fur colour and some bears.

Purwa Fall

Purva Fall in the state of Madhya Pradesh is 32 kms from Rewa city at a height of 200 feet. The Fall is on River Tons, descending the cliff of Rewa Plateau. The best season to visit the Purwa Fall is when the rains are in full swing. Road leading to Purwa Fall is single laned. Keoti Fall

Keoti Fall is located in the village Kyoti of Rewa, Madhya Pradesh in India. If you are planning for family holidays, it would be worth the visit. The Fall are 390 feet high (nearly 130 m) and present beautiful and majestic view. Keoti Fall is so beautiful that you can keep looking at them for hours. The Fall is on River Mahana, descending the cliff of Rewa Plateau. Again the best season to visit is rainy season.

It is one of the good religious and pilgrimage tourist destinations in North India. Maihar wali Mata is another name of Mata Sharda, a form of Mata Durga. It is considered to be a very powerful place of worship. It is about 5 K.M. from Maihar Railway Station in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India.
